Services & Programs
Transition Planning
For military families planning to transition to The Basilica School, please contact our registrar (Cristi Robinson) and our director of guidance (Megan Wise). Plan to provide all necessary enrollment information, including current transcripts, recent test scores, school physical forms, and immunization records.
The Naval Air Station offers additional assistance for military families transitioning to the Key West area. Please visit Fleet & Family Readiness (navymwrkeywest.com) for information regarding moving, contacting your ombudsman, our local DEERs office, and more!
Student-Led Transition Program
We are pleased to offer a student-led transition program. All new military students will be given a tour of the campus by representatives from our student government association. New students will be specifically introduced to all pertinent faculty, as well as other military students in their age group. SGA representatives and guidance staff will check-in with new military students within the first few weeks of their attendance to ensure the new students are acclimating academically, socially, and emotionally.

Military Recognition Events
During our annual reading week, service members will be invited to be guest readers in their child(ren)’s classroom(s).
April: Month of the Military Child
The Basilica School will host events recognizing our military families and students.
April 15- Purple Up
All students will be encouraged to wear purple for Purple Up Day to recognize the sacrifices made by our service members and their families.
Exceptional Student Education Services
The school has implemented the Blessed Carlo Acutis program to assist students requiring ESE services.
The State of Florida provides students with qualifying disabilities access to the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-US). To find out more about this scholarship and to apply, visit Step Up for Students FES-UA.
