Dear Catholic School Families,
Summer is here, and so is the Archdiocese of Miami’s Synod!
On April 3rd, Archbishop Wenski convened the Second General Synod of the Archdiocese of Miami. The Synod is a process of listening to the people of God, followed by pastoral planning based upon what was heard. The work of the Synod will establish the priorities of the Archdiocese for the next 3-4 years.
The word “synod” comes from the Greek word for assembly, and that is exactly what we will be doing here in South Florida this summer. The first part of the Synod is a series of listening sessions: gatherings to which all Catholics are invited to share with each other our experiences of and hopes for our Church. Archbishop Wenski will be at each of these assemblies, and he is eager to hear what the people of the Archdiocese have to say. Please have your voice heard by attending a listening session and sharing your vision for the local church.

The voice of our Catholic school families is an important one, and we hope that you will attend a listening session and be a part of this historic time in our Archdiocese. We also ask that you keep the work of the Synod in your prayers.
