Dear Parents,

“Catholic Schools Raise the Standards” is the theme of Catholic Schools Week 2013! Please join us in the activities that celebrate The Basilica School of Saint Mary Star of the Sea being the oldest Catholic school in the state of Florida.

Monday – January 28th – Parent Appreciation Day. Students come with crazy hair or wear a crazy hat with their uniform. Join your child for lunch.

Tuesday-January 29th – Staff and Maintenance Appreciation Day – Dress as a Nerd. Student Council brings treats for staff and maintenance. Talent Show Practice in the library at 2:50-3:30. Bring your music or instrument to practice.

Wednesday – January 30th – Teacher Appreciation Day. Dress as your favorite “Super Hero” and do something special for your teacher!
Lower grade Student Council to organize lunch for the teachers.

January 31st – Thursday – Volunteer Appreciation Day – Wear your PJs to school. Talent Show at 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. Parents invited.

February 1st – Friday – Student Appreciation Day – 8:10 Mass – Dress as a “twin”. Student /Teacher Kickball Game – 2 p.m. Dance Breakout in the Courtyard throughout the day.

February 2nd, Saturday – ROCK AND ROAST AND SILENT AUCTION from 2 to 8 p.m. We need EVERY FAMILY TO BAKE A HOMEMADE DESSERT PLEASE. Bring to the cafeteria or drop off in the office on Friday.

Thanks! The annual Rock and Roast raises over $50,000.00 towards tuition assistance and operating expenses of the school. We need every family to help out! Remember – the cost of tuition is several thousand dollars less than the actual cost of each child’s tuition.
