Spooky Fun

Halloween is almost here! We will be celebrating at school on Friday, October 30th. The celebration of Halloween has, at its core, Catholic roots. The word Halloween is simply a contraction of All Hallows eve, or the night before All Hallows day. All Hallows Day, more commonly known as All Saints day, is a Catholic feast day that has been celebrated for centuries. We will kick off our festivities with our annual Halloween “Trail of Treats” Costume Parade. We conclude our parade with our annual Trunk or Treat in the back parking lot.  Trunk or Treat is being hosted by the parents of The Basilica School.  If you are a parent willing to donate candy for this event, please drop it off in the front office by Thursday, October 29th.
